E-mail Update

I am writing this as an update to the last Friends of Bethany newsletter.

We met as a congregation on November 7 to decide what course to take.  We had received an offer on our property, but the Leadership Board did not find it viable.  So with that, the congregation agreed unanimously to stay at Riverside Drive and to begin the Bethany Future Fund.

While we remain open in the future to options for our building, and would entertain a significantly better offer on our property, we do not know that such an offer is likely in the foreseeable future.

The First Phase of the Project is to raise about $62,400 for the replacement of the Sanctuary Roof and to lay carpet tiles in the Sunday School Annex building.  We have agreed to proceed on a “pay as we go” basis, that is we will try to avoid borrowing money if possible.

In addition the Leadership Board is determined to turn the page from this past year’s focus on property issues and to address the ministry and outreach plan for Bethany in coming years.

So please continue to pray for the ministry at Bethany.  If you are able to help us financially, make any gift as “Bethany Future Fund.”

May the Lord give to you and to yours a blessed Christmas season

John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
