Future Fund

thermometer.jpgThe Leadership Board has added $15,000 from our reserves to the Future Fund.  We now have the funds needed to repair the main roof.  If we can raise an additional $15,000 in the near future, we will be able to repair the office flat roof and the small “eyebrow” roofs which cover the walkways.

Current total        $61,792

Goal for all Roofs  $74,690

Needed                $12,898

Guest Speaker in August

Dr. Charles Yu will speak at Bethany during the Pastor’s vacation.

August 14 - Psalm 8 - “What’s in your Fridge?”

August 21 - Psalm 1 - “The Blessed Life”

Charles Yu has earned his PhD in Old Testament from teh UW Madison and currently works on InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Staff at the UW.  He and hsi family live in the Madison area.

Charles, who speaks Mandarin, will aslo speak at the Greater Madison Chinese EFC service on August 14.

Narnia - Three Times

TheSilverChairFirstEd.jpg The Lamp Post Players are back with the Silver Chair on Thursday and Friday, July 14, 15 at Bethany Church. The performances are at 7pm. No tickets needed, but donations are accepted.

Devin Brown is a Professor of English at Asbury University where he teaches a class on C. S. Lewis.  He is the author of Inside Narnia (2005), Inside Prince Caspian (2008), and Inside the Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010

Sundae in the Park - July 24

On Sunday, July 24, we will hold worship at Fireman’s Park in Monona at 10:30am, followed afterward by a potluck picnic. By potluck we mean bring everything and share. We will have some ice cream and a couple of grills for you to use. Otherwise bring a chair, food, plates, water, games, and be ready for a different sort of Sunday (Sundae).
